ODL featured on Voices for Non-Opioid Choices

Voices for Non-Opioid Choices (“Voices”) featured Overdose Lifeline for their recent partnership with the State of Indiana to safely distribute naloxone to individuals and communities in need across the state.

Overdose Lifeline and the distribution partners have distributed 10,059 Naloxone Kits across the state since June 2020. This includes a partnership with the Indiana Department of Correction to provide 2,255 Naloxone kits to individuals being released from their 18 adult facilities.

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to force isolation and alter lives, overdose deaths are also rising at alarming rates. Often the use of drugs is a solitary act and, as humans, we believe we are exempt from the consequences others are experiencing. The possibility of overdose does not follow these ‘rules’.

Overdose Lifeline is grateful for the continued support and partnership with Voices for non-opioid choices and for helping us bring awareness to the opioid crisis in the times of a global pandemic.
