What: Overdose-Lifeline, Inc. will donate 37 Naloxone kits Thursday to IMPD Southwest District to honor the memory of one local heroin overdose victim on the first anniversary of his death.

Founded by Indianapolis resident Justin Phillips following the death of her son Aaron Sims on Oct. 9, 2013, Overdose-Lifeline, Inc. is working on behalf of addicts and their families to assure adequate resources and support exists.

IMPD Southwest District implemented a Naloxone pilot program in April 2014 and has saved 37 lives through administration of the drug, which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
