Always My Squiggy…My Son

I have been battling the realization that you are no longer here…that I will no longer get to hear your unique laugh…that I will no longer continue to fight for you, and with you, for treatment…

I have witnessed others trying to get better so that they can reach the point in their recovery that I so often wished you would attain; and though I fight passionately for them, I do so because each one reminds me of you, wishing you were here, but not really wanting to see you here in pain, struggling.

I miss you so much my little leprechaun…I hope you’re finally at peace.
