REMEMBRANCES

In memory of Nick

My oldest Nick, whom we lovingly called “Nick-a-Roni”, died on December 19, 2019. Always a very compassionate & “justice for all” kind of a young man, he would bring home changes of clothes for the homeless & do their laundry. Struggling his whole life to accept & believe in himself, he dropped out of high school & passed the GED equivalent without even studying. Being clean for what we thought was 2.5 years, he met a wonderful partner & we were so proud of his new “adulting” skills. Though we don’t have the investigative report & death certificate back, his boyfriend found foil, a straw & a lighter. He has ran ahead to Heaven & we all can’t wait to hear his laugh & see his smile.
